I am a cinematographer and filmmaker with
a social sciences and audiovisual media background.
I began my career as a freelance photographer for newspapers and ad
agencies.
For a long period, I worked as an art therapist at the Psychiatric
Hospital of Attica, using audiovisual means as a therapeutic tool.
It was this experience and the impact of human stories on me that
gravitated me toward documentary filmmaking.
My body of work has been
screened at festivals worldwide, including the Silhouette Film Festival in
Paris, the Hong Kong Arthouse Film Festival,
the Athens International Film Festival, the
Environmental Film Festival in Washington, D.C., the Walker Art Center, the
Museum of Contemporary Art in Minneapolis,
the Festival du Film Francophone de Grèce, and
the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.
I am privileged to have collaborated with esteemed organizations and
foundations, including the NEON Culture and Development Organization,
the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), and the Sigg Art Foundation. With
my directorial debut , "Ladies in Waiting,"
I earned the distinction of receiving a full scholarship to the American
Film Showcase (AFS) Documentary Program at USC, LA.
The film premiered at the 25th Thessaloniki
Documentary Festival, where it received a Special Jury Award and have been distributed on platforms like
Festival Scope and Ertflix.
